Hello,

My name is Gary and I've been working on Chrysler products since I was eight years old and have been driving them almost as long. I have several Mopars, including a 1969 Road Runner. I also belong to For A-Bodies Only, For B-Bodies Only, For C-Bodies Only, For E-Bodies Only, and For FMJ-Bodies Only. I'm a retired engineer that has worked in the defense industry, satellite communications, telecommunications, computer systems administration, data center builds and operations, and my last 14 years were at Google as a hardware test engineer and technical writer.

My Road Runner is in rough shape, but workable. It sat in a field for over 20 years and has trunk and quarter rust, heavy rust in the battery area, plus rust out of earlier body work, other rust areas including surface rust on the undercarriage, suspension, body, etc. It is mostly on hold while I work on several other projects. Following are some of its original details, and current state:
- 383 (original engine is gone)
- Four speed
- 3.23:1 Sure Grip rear axle
- Air Grabber
- AM radio
- Manual drum brakes
- Manual steering
- Road wheels (original wheels gone, but I have some, although it may wear something else)
- F8 green exterior (it had been re-sprayed in another green, then blue, and now has temporary primer covering it)
- F8 green interior, bucket seats

Following are a few pictures:

Welcome! What are the plans for it - back to stock or modified?
Thanks. The car will be stock, or stock appearing with a few upgrades. All my cars are basically stock with select upgrades using mostly stock parts. I like to appear stock, but with select improvements such as factory disk brakes and electronic ignition.

It will be painted the original green and keep its green interior. I'll replace the 383 with another stock rebuilt 383 with stock exhaust plus keep the transmission and rear axle. Carburetor will likely be a Thermo-Quad with a 400 intake manifold. Front brakes will be updated to 1973+ A-body disk brakes. Chrysler electronic ignition and 70+ charging system, but using old USA parts from my parts stash. Wheels will be M-body 15x7 painted body color and "Plymouth Division" hubcaps. A few suspension tweaks will be added. In addition to the rust repair and body work, general cleanup and refurbishment along the way.

Looks pretty much all there how about interior parts? And welcome
The interior is rough, but the floors are not bad. Some previous work was started on them. The seats are there and the dash is intact, but it needs a pad. The door panels were water damaged. The headliner is mostly gone. I have new front and rear seat covers, and new carpet for it.

All glass is there, but the windshield is cracked badly. I have a good used windshield to replace it though.

Thanks!
