OEM Carb for a 69 RR 383/ 727

When I bought my car it had an aftermarket carb on it but had the original motor and intake. My question is, What Carb did it come with new from the factory? I am hearing it was possibly a Carter AVS either a 4682 SA or a 4615 SA Can anyone confirm? The car is an original AC car. Looking to go back to original....

Did the original set up have a carb spacer to raise the carb off the manifold?

I’m not sure they did. You’ll need ones with today’s gas that boils in mere minutes. Most rebuild kits seem to come with a spacer.

I have never run a spacer and never had any fuel boiling or vapor lock issues.
