A few of you made recommendations on the smaller starter a month
or so ago. I believe somebody else down the line said that a starter
from a 90's model dodge truck would fit as well. Any truth to this?

thanks

they may not sound right but i'd rather change out one of those than the original ones. besides with headers the original ones always heat soaked on me about every year. :drive:

I run mini starters on all my cars that have high compression. I use the 94 v-8 Dakota for reference since that was what I owned at the time. I just took the starter off my Dakota and put it on my Dart and gave it a try and it worked good so that was what I used from then on. Good luck.

I've had good luck with starters not getting cooked.

I hope it wasn't one of those mini starters that caught on fire.
