I have a 69 road runner and I must remove the upper collar under the steering wheel that houses the turn signal switch. The snap ring is removed and the two hex head nuts are removed as well. I have pried with wood chisels wrapped in duck tape to prevent marring but the collar isn't budging. It seems the pressed on bearing has it locked tight.
The column is still in the car and it is a floor shifted automatic. If you have experience with the removal of this upper collar please advise me on how you got it off. Thanks! Greg

Their was just a video on here where some one else was asking the same thing. I just watched it last week. I find a lot of stuff by surfing the web. Good luck.

I saw that video too but the method described didn't work for me. I was able to fab up a tool similar to the Miller C-4044 and it got the job done for me.
