torque specs please

hey guys ive been redoing a 69 road runner from ground up and im putting together the rear end and i was wondering if anyone knew the torque specs on the ring and pinion gear? i have found that on the ring is 55ft lbs and the caps are 90ft lbs i think this seems kinda high so i just wanted to double check? any info would be greatly appreciated thanks.

What size is you ring gear? 8.75 or 9.75?

Here is a link in case you need it that gives you all the torque requirements for the engine. My manual only shows the empeller shaft torque vale at 30-35 ft/lbs. Sorry I can't provide more

55 ft/lbf and 90 ft/lbf is correct.

240 ft/lbf minimum for the pinion nut for the straight shank (small and large) and 170 ft/lbf minimum for the taper shank pinions.

That should be in in/lbf instead of ft/lbf

FSM specs at 20-30 in/lbf.
