This Baracuda was just painted, it was as bad as the one being worked on now.

6-26-68, Date on block. My cars SPD is 9-13-68, couple months lead for the motor...... Sounds about right.

Anybody good with CSI'ing Trannies? The pad on the passenger side has (as far as I can tell) the numbers 30102570. there is the number 34104 on the drivers side. On the bell housing there is the numbers 433-8, also on the bell housing is the letters/numbers +33-8 with an X above it. There are 5 of the 12 boxes filled with the dots.

wannarunner, I see you used a grinder on the casting flash, but what about the side of the block? Did you use a wire wheel to clean it?

I used several different shapes of wire wheels to strip the block, then cleaned it with residue free mold cleaner. (Stoner)
