If those are steel freeze plugs you might want to change them out to brass.

In Galens white book, automatics are stamped on the drivers side pan rail. The numbers consist of Assembly plant, Part Number, 10,000 day calander date and a build sequence number. He also states that in 69 some engines & transmissions were stamped with the 13 digit VIN on the LH top front of the transmission. Normally though only the 8 digit numiber is found. THe 34104 number does not show up in the book. 34106** or 34107** identify it as a 1970 transmission. 1969 transmission part numbers start with 28920**.
