Where is the vent on the rear end

Since I blew the axle seals on the rear end MAC said "do you have the proper vent?"

What is the proper vent and where can I find it on the rear. Also how can I make sure the rear is venting?

It is the nut and bolt looking thing that hold the brass brake line block to the diff. If you remove the center its a small pipe with a cap that can plug up, just pull it out and clean it.

it seems alot of times that the vent gets replaced with a bolt to hold the brass block for the brake lines.

The vent is there. I was able to turn the top easily after I kinda broke it loose, but I'm going to pull it and make sure its clear. It was in a barn for 36 years supposingly but I don't think the barn had a roof on it. At least its not a bolt.

Does it still have the tapered roller bearings? If so that will smoke seals faster than George used to smoke cigarettes. The bearings need to be adjusted properly or it will wear out the seals.
