Russ just saw this I haven't been good about photos but I promise I'll upload a bunch in a couple days. Wife and I cleaning and sealing vinyl top right now so that will be in there, too. Thanks for the ask!

    Original carpet or replacement?

Hey, that's a cool clue about the tag, thanks. I've got the driver seat out and I'm going to lift up a bit and see what I can see. Thanks for telling me that is called jute padding. Do you know when it was outlawed? That could also help me date this maybe. I'm not replacing the carpet, which...

    Original carpet or replacement?

That's kind of what I'm thinking, especially with the miscellaneous screws I found underneath the carpet. But I've been told the factory carpet would have a stamp on it saying it was Chrysler or something like that. Do you remember if your carpet had anything like that when you removed it?

Quick update on getting the 1970 running (at last)!!!

I don't have the numbers but haven't heard of Berrie Grant, what is that exactly? Sounds interesting. Yeah, glad it was the carb rather then something serious!

Quick update on getting the 1970 running (at last)!!!

Well folks it's been a struggle but finally, as of Friday, my 383 is running correctly! I've had this car for over 3 years now, and in January I had it towed to garage. It would run, technically, but took 5 minutes to get it to hold idle and it hesitated badly on acceleration. Carb rebuild time...

    Project Progress Report 1970 RR

Hey gang - Lots of progress on getting the 383 bird on the road. Car is now running, though not running great. The Holley was rebuilt, engine full tune, including timing. Takes at least 5 minutes to get it to hold idle, and kinda hesitates when you give it gas, then picks up and runs forward...

Need replacement horn, is Classic Industries horn good?

It is, and I compared the graphic to what was on my horn (I'm particular about these things haha) and the repo graphic was very close to original. The probably scanned it. . . under a bridge. . . in China. Actually I don't know where the horn was made but seems like everything comes from China...

Need replacement horn, is Classic Industries horn good?

Same here. I saved the original but the replacement seems like a dead on match to my eye.

Need replacement horn, is Classic Industries horn good?

I actually did adjust it with that, but no difference. I think the horn was just toast and I replaced with the repo as noted in thread above. Seems to work great. Now if I can just get the engine to run as well. It's at the shop I'm letting them deal. This car hasn't really been on the road for...

Need replacement horn, is Classic Industries horn good?

I actually ended up buying one from Classic and installing. It actually looked identical to the one I took out, which I assume was original. Even the little tuning wheel was dead on. Altho I don't know exactly what an original sounds like it does have the Meep Meep! sound pretty much perfect...

    1970 Dashboard removal

No kidding, under the rubber. Thankfully, I only need to pull the cluster, the dash pad above is good. Matter of fact now that you mention this about pulling the windshield I bet someone redid the dash pad at some point. The gasket around the windshield is the sloppiest I've ever seen, so...

    1970 Dashboard removal

There are no bolts that I can see close to windshield, see pic. It's just completely smooth.

    1970 Dashboard removal

Hey folks - trying to get dash out so I can replace with a new panel from Classic Ind. I took the 5 obvious screws out (I think it was 5) today but the thing does not budge. My B-body shop guide seems to cover every B variant with a diagram but the RR for some reason, well I can't seem to find...
