Buddy gave me this, his uncle won it a dealership at what he thinks was a Rapid Transit System clinic contest in 1969 for troubleshooting wires and ignition...anybody ever see one before?
Wow, somebody took a pic of my car and created the " Made in 1969" thing and it keeps popping up on Facebook and other places and now from that link I find the photoshopped second pic...
I discovered this is the source of my problem. If the car goes dead on me I reach under the dash and push the harness up and I have power again.
I have not really had a chance to mess with it, is the fix replacing it? I just had a chance to look at it and it looks like if might be a major...
My seat started splitting recently in my 69 and I was wondering if anybody ever had any luck with a repair job on a seat...can't decide if I want to try to find somebody who can fix it or just replace the cover.
I was a bit shocked at the prices of the new covers and I wonder how well they...
I have been trying to follow the history of my Road Runner and a guy who passed away in the Kingsport, TN area owned if for a long time and probably restored it. I have tried to hunt down the family for history on the car but have not had any luck. The guys name was Roby Myers and it appears...
Too funny, I was using a mirror to find the numbers and I wrote them down if reverse order. 2468130 9 is what they are. The other number set is 4 * 22* 69 so I think I am pretty sure I have a numbers matching car after all LOL.
Well the trans has my vin info just like the block does.
I think I have bad info on how to date the block. The big casting number up on the side of the block are 9 0318642 and a guy was telling me it was a 68 block from that.
I caught some light that shows how reflective the stripes can be that I put on, I love them! I am glad it came from the factory with the red instead of the white...it really fits the cars attitude better LOL.
I looked at the 383 and checked the number on the side of the block...it looks like one of the numbers in the middle did not get stamped or is stamped so bad that is does not show through the paint. It matches the info I have and appears to be a numbers matching block but I looked farther up on...
Took some pics of the RR with the rest of its stablemates, thought you guys might like a look. Bigger pics and more at my blog: http://kingvoodoo.blogspot.com/2013/08/mopar-magic.html
Ruby Red Reflective Stripes are on...still sitting on the fence about painting the flat black stripes back on it should have. I am just not sold on it and personally I think it will be too much. Gonna roll like this for now.
