Hi All,
http://www.evanswiring.com/ is carrying reproduction bulkhead connectors. I'm posting this because I've searched high and low for the 8 prong plugs. Found one on e-but for $195.00..... asked why they coated it in gold....no answer. Anyway "Evans Wiring" has had them reproduced for...
Waking at 3AM questioning my "brilliance" of yesterdays removal of the ballast resistor and replacing with a coil with the same resistance built in... is looking like "dumbass" instead!
69 RR 383 4spd. Upgraded to electronic ignition and trying to hide the orange box and new ballast resistor...
Thanks George, Droptop and Earlyrides,
Your messages make me feel better. I don't think it's a head mill problem because the intake mates OK with the surface and the bolt holes are OK (the plane of the head and intake meet well, just a bit kittywampus??) I just didn't know if that...
Hi, Have a low miler (47,000) 383 and have had some leaks into the valley pan. Upon removing and checking the intake fit to the heads, there is a .005 gap between the intake surface and the head on the right front and left rear...... almost like either the heads are not in parallel or the intake...
Hi All, Been a while since I've been on.
Own a 69 RR 383 4spd numbers matching. Had a little trouble with the lungs and have let the project go for some time. I'm looking for a good Mopar mechanic (for pay) or someone familiar with same. My RR is sitting (approx. 1 yr) without being completed...
Thanks for the picture, that really helps. Not quite sure why I'm trying to get it so original, because I'm changing the drums to disk and putting in new upper control arms. I was shocked at how crappy the handling was when I test drove the car. Sure didsn't drive like it did when I was 40 years...
Hi,
Had the name of a good Plating service, lost my harddrive and everything went poof! I think there was a gal doing plating that was recommended thru this group but I can't remember. Anyhoo, does anyone know of a good plating service? Want to get the LCA's plated in Yellow zinc.
Thanks, trim
Thanks Big John, I couldn't figure out how to post it in the message and I read something at the begining when I joined about taking up as little room as possible with pics on the forum, so put it in photobucket.
Works better when it's by the post, Thank you, trim
Yes, I can see support tubes inside, but they look a little oblong also. I thought about welding washers but then wouldn't the frame be too thick to receive the cross member?
trim
No, the holes on the cross member are round. Could the holes in the framey be that way for adjustment? Torque is recommended at 90 lft. lbs. Seems like that would hold it in one position???
Wished I had another Runner to look at with the tranny out.

My Bad....Yes, they are elongated on...
Hi, In my 69 RoadRunner 4spd. the frame on the passenger side that the center crossmember bolts to, the holes are elongated, see pic
On the drivers side where the bolts go, the holes are normal, perfectly round. Not sure if this is normal on the passenger side to be elongated or is it someone...
Hi All, Need a "straight" passenger side lower control arm w/sway bar bracket for a b-body 69 RR. Please PM if you have one for sale or know of someone that does.
Thanks, trim
THANKS 69 RoadRunner.net Found One
Well, I crashed my harddrive and lost any address, e-mail and phone numbers that were entered in the last 4 months. Yeh, I know, not backing up often enough! Anyway I need to get in touch with Brent the moparmagnet in Buffalo, Missouri. Does anyone have his phone or e-mail address or if you have...
Thanks Big John, I tried that but it didn't seem right ....so then I thought maybe it's the hydralic lifters making some difference. Will the hydraulics cause a funny reading?
