Finally dropping off the Hemi saturday for engine dyno

ok......story time.....did the dyno and ran into rear main seal leaking....dip stick and milodon oil pump plate.....builder told me to get new seal/pan gasket and bring it up to fix.....loaded her up monday after draining oil/filter/oil pic up braded lines....went there and he flips out on me....tells me i need to make a appointment...told him bullshit after waiting 9 freakin months i need this done ASAP and if he dont i am done waiting around i will do it myself....hes crying that its a days work and he has shit to do......i didnt want to hear it and stormed out of there....plus his 95 year old dad is dying and his wife is sick which i didnt know about.....so i am driving home pissed with the hemi strapped in the back of my truck and he calls me on my cell to say he is sorry and it has been the worst 2 weeks of his life and he want"s to make things things right....so this morning i got there at 9 am and we banged it out in 3 hours..before we closed up the oil pan we both said a prayer it dont leak......:groucho:....now the fun begins...finally
 
that sucks about your guys family issues, but he should have clued you im instead of loosing it on a customer.

It does 'suck' when personal issues spill over... but it's not always an easy clean up.
As for George letting me know what's going on....:cool-new::cool-new::cool-new:
 
so getting stuff done.....cleaned up 727...changed filter....and started putting her together....tranny/convertor bolted up ..before i bolted up tranny i was looking at the date on my CSR Transmission/Flexplate Super Shield ....bought it new in 2004...well guess what....they need to be re- certified every 5 years.and to buy new they are on 6-8 weeks back ordered....so screw it.....had to ball peen headers.....was hitting on side main bolts.....oil gallery plug need some grinding for clearancing starter.....have to add indy 3/8 inch spacers behind water pump to align pulley"s then align alternator ...would rather mock all this up before i drop it in.....i hate surprises

I think the tech guy only want a part # for the shield at a national event and would other wise just look for it to be there.

yeah....have been getting away with it.....its a nice piece.....fits with stock tunnel but the fabric belt is a joke....right buy the linkage and would burn up being right next to the headers.....all the other ones look like crap compared to this and dont fit like a glove like this one
 
what a shame that monster is going into a Red car. not to late to go Green while it's apart George....:acme:

Those are impressive numbers George. I think it is going to fly if you can hook it to the Pavement!!

up date......removed old fan relays/water pump relay...plug welded holes up....bondo and tomorrow paint passenger side inner fender/k-frame ...then i can drop her in with the tranny bolted on.....long wait but shes coming together finally
