The spam thing is a real PITA!! I had a guest book on my website for a while thinking it might be great to to let people post a little information about themselves as they visited my site and it worked great until the spam idiots got on it and overwhelmed it. I had to take it down. To bad that sort of thing has to happen. This is a great site and I would certainly support what ever is best it.
 
I barely have enough time to do anything I enjoy. And those stupid idiots have time to go to the most random inconsequential sites and spam crap.... I don't get it. :loco:
 
Its gotten bad in the last couple days. We had another one sneak in tonight.

I've just changed the way new members register. They all have to be approved before they can read or post. We'll see how this goes. If it doesn't work, I may suspend new registrations for a while until things calm down or I find an alternative.
 
I guess I happened to log in just in the knick of time. Hello again everyone, I'm still around but the Road Runner is on the back burner. I hope to make my first car show in 1.5 years next month. Life has really been busy lately. I don't know if the car will even start. It's been at least 4 or 5 months since I touched it. Thanks - 69rrvert
 
I don't remember how many members were registered, but when the .org site was on and off, I looked up members with emails so I could contact the regulars. about the same as here. lots of names, but quite a few had less than a dozen posts. I realize that a lot of guys don't have time to hit the comp often, but ones that haven't posted since registering must not have a real interest in this site if they don't even introduce themselves.

I agree with Ray. Now that we know how bad the problem really is, and it appears it will be an on going problem, do what ever you need to do John. It's just a shame you have to make those that are really interested to go through all these hoops just to join a web site. Just because of losers who have no brains and nothing to do but cause trouble.
 
ya know when you stop and think about all these spammers you think about all these securities,Norton,McAffe ...etc...if there wasnt any spammers we wouldnt need these securitiy companies to protect us from worms and what ever....these guys are probably being paid by these guys to stay in business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!which blows!!

I really have no problem with red cars, you need them for a mid life crisis car. If your a blue car person you just never experience that part of life :D

I bought mine at age 16 ? I have had it ever since . ? I did just buy this one this year (age 41 now) and it's R-4 also . Am i in my mid life crisis ?
