OK, I'm really not interested in another car, I mean I'd like to have one, but just not in the budget at the moment. But I do like to kick tires now and then if I see what looks like a good deal and saw this car for sale on Hemmings and thought hmmm, maybe I'll ask a few questions. Plus it looks a lot like the car I had as a young man, so I was curious about it as well. I wrote and asked about seeing the VIN & Fender Tag or the build sheet, but never got a straight answer, or one at all. The cars owner sent a bunch of pictures of the Rotisserie restoration of the car which all appears like it was done first class by talented knowledgeable people. He is asking $29,300 which seem under valued to me based on what I saw, I know what this kind of thing costs to do. But I saw no VIN or Fender Tag. The car was listed as being located in South Carolina, but due to the individuals work and him being overseas, he has the sale being handled by a company called "Landfall Shipping Company Limited" and it was moved to Seattle WA. If one wants to buy the car, he'll ship at his expense. But one must send the money, in full, and when the car is received and not as advertised the buyer can send it back for a full return. I can't help but smell a rat. Experience has taught me if something is to good to be true, it usually is.

Here's the original add I responded to. It is shown as located in Savannah Georgia not SC as I originally wrote. But regardless it's now in Seattle Washington. Anybody out that way in the market I think it's a good deal provided first it's true and it actually is a roadrunner. They did the bottom correctly with the overspray. I'd say it's either an under priced runner, a very nicely priced Satellite or Belveder or a scam. If he really has the car and I was in the market I'd look

Don't walk away RUN. These are scam's. Never even talk to these guy's. The big hint is LTD. I saw a car on the inter web checked it out same story the guy was over seas in the military. Wanted me to send full payment to a broker. Said they would deliver the car to my door. Anyway saw the same car in GA like on B body's and the guy was not going to sell it no mater what. Have also seen other car's for sale and checked and could not get a hold of any body and the same kind of game. So keep your money in you pocket.

I'm considering calling his bluff and tell him that I've secured a vehicle inspection company in Seattle to look at the Car with my list of questions for them to research. Ask for a contact name, where the car is located, and a phone for them to make the appointment to see the car.

It's not. I would not even talk to these guy's. Don't give them any info like E mail or any thing else. The guy I talked to after telling him if I could not see it or put my hand on it then I was not interested. He called me back in a few day's Mad and told me all the money I had cost him. When pulling up the escrow company that is in England all kind's of red flags went off. After reading about some of the complaint's it is a guy in England and you will never get your money back. Why don't they through the bum in jail over their. They say they can't find him. SCAM and posing as a service man.

Go to the bank and get a loan? If the car is what he says it is, and the pictures he sent me are real, its a $50-$60K car all day long. I'd find the money for a car in this shape and quality. It might wind up right back on the block, but I'd do it. But I'm certain its a fraud. I trust my source who told me so, he knew the car and the scam right away.

I mean he's asking $29,300 for the car and will pay to have it shipped from Seattle to Philadelphia on his dime. No way is this realistic. If he's going to scam someone at least don't insult the intelligence of the buyer. At least make the price look like its not a scam. He might as well said $10K.

Every where you turn their is someone trying to separate you form your money. The internet is a good tool but a few take advantage of it to use it as a bad tool. Even opening up E mails that you don't know like some posing as Micro soft make it hard to know which E mails to trust. So if you look around on the web bet you will find this car some where other than where the sell is stating it is. That is what I did and found the car that was portrayed as for sell and the owner had posted it and what the car went through to be restored. Also how long he had the car. It was not for sell. I found Runners in all kind's of shape mostly in resto. shape. All over the USA. So ask if you can travel to see the car in person and these jokers will and can not produce the car for inspection.
