Runner update

That looks great Bob! It does looks like it was a tight fit. Did you have any big problems, or did it drop in as easy as the pictures make it look?

The biggest problem was getting the car back up to remove the cart. I put a bottle jack under the k-frame got it high enough for jack stands which gave me room for a small floor jack where the bottle jack was and I got the clearance I needed to remove the jack and cart! Being on the hoist you could move the car back and forth with a finger, it would have been nice to have a wedge motor. Oops did I say that out loud

Looks great Bob! Very nice job documenting everything too. Don't you know that you're supposed to pose in at least one of the pictures though...???

It would break the camera :D

I took a bunch of chrome in today, 2 bumpers 2 tail light bezels 2 inside door handles 2 outside door handles and buttons and a mirror. They do nothing but show chrome and it came to $810. Sound fair?

think you could sneek a couple more bumpers in......

I used the Bumper Boyz for the Malibu. About $700 for just the two bumpers. Shoddy work - I had to paint the backsides of the bumpers black because the finish was so unsightly - and they didn't even remove all of the dirt and road grime prior to replating. I had the Chrome Wizard in Nashville re-chrome the rear bumper and bumper guards from my '74 Duster as well as the fender extensions for Tam's Swinger. Those five pieces cost me $800 + shipping...and then I had to send them all back for rework as I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK. Suffice it to say, I think you're getting a more than fair price if they come back like you want them. As for the Chrome Wizard, there's a lot more to this story which I am fairly certain I have posted previously in its enitirety in another thread; simply stated - Don't ever use them...they put me through hell.
