Seems like every used car I get has some hidden stuff somewhere. Here are a few things that were hidden in various places in my car when I got it.phone pics 013.jpgThe trunk lock was broken so it hadn't been opened when it was delivered. a full set of these 55 chevy hubcaps were in there.

i found 3 sockets, a wrench in the frame rail:missing:,pennies, an earring.
That's funny, at least you know they tried to work on it. My original ignition key was wedged between the lower pass. fender and the rocker panel. I didn't find it 'til I removed the fender. Saved me from having to replace the ignition switch.

never found anyhing exciting. coins, few hand tools.

I found this quality sheet under the rear seat of my '65 Formula S. Other then the name Murphy that was stamped in two places there were no markings on it. It was just a bit dirty and I guess moisture stains of some kind.

coins, lug nuts, keys to a ford, bolts, nuts, acorns, seeds, headliner stuffing, mouse nest, mouse nest, mouse nest, mouse, nest, mouse nest..... holes, pop rivets, and a build sheet!

I had a whole skeleton of what I can only assume was the a groundhog, or the largest rat in world history in the rear door panel.

Great Idea for a post. I found a motel room key for the same town I live in under the seat of my RR convertible. I also found a 1/4 (maybe 5/16)inch 3 foot chain under the seat. I wanted to remove it as it was all rust. You should of seen my face when that snubbed up. It was bolted with an eye bolt down through the carpet, floor, and torsion bar mount. I guess that was the 1969 version of "The Club". Thinking back, with no lockable steering column, and a jack knife through the roof, you could have yourself a pretty cool car! Being a factory tach car, you could of even have used the tach wire to hot wire it, without running an external wire and be on your way! On another situation, I was driving one day only to see a 71 satellite on the side of the road in the "nose high" position. There was a giant hole blown right through the hood. The whole car was pretty ratty looking. My brother wanted a good trunk floor for his RR and I decided to stop and check what else might be useable. Nobody was around so I took the number off the windshield to give to my brother. The car said 150 or /BO. ( this was a while ago) That Saturday, he came home with the car for 75 bucks.... with all the Factory Air Grabber Parts in the trunk.

I found that my '69 GOAT had a syringe and some white pills under the carpet. Pretty neat find. Wish I still had that car lol!

Panties in the glove box , and an empty bottle of perfume , White Linen , very sexy :anonymous:

In our 69 Runner we had a rattle that was impossible to locate.
When we were preparing it to send it out for paint; we removed the rear window assemblies and found a wire hanger that we assume had been in there since it came off the assembly line.
I can only imagine what was going on in the mind of the assembly line worker.

More recently we rescued a 59 Dodge Town Panel truck from a neighbor's back yard with super rusty doors and floors and there was a .357 shaped chunk of rust in an old dried out holster under what was left of the seat.
