I have a 69 Road Runner with a 727 auto. The transmission was re-built about 12 years ago and may have 5000 miles on it. I don't remember the mileage. Anyway, the car has been parked for the last 8 years. Everything about the transmission works fine. It has good firm shifts, goes into gear...
I will be replacing the top in the near future. The car originally had the vinyl back window. I would like to go with the glass rear window but would like to know the pros/cons between the two. Thanks, Steven
I took advantage of the front end being out of the car today and pulled the steering box. With both control arms off and the torsion bar out of the way, it only took about 15 minutes to get the steering box out. No doubt, that it will be going back in first before anything else. Thanks, Steven
Thanks for the info. Gonna try an tackle it this week if I get time. Right now, I working on rebuilding the front suspension and waiting on parts for a disc brake conversion. Thanks, Steven
I ordered the LEED power disc brake conversion kit from Summit. It is currently and manual drum brake car. Supposedly it is a direct fit using the existing spindle. Has anyone here used this kit and how did it go? Are there any issues I should look out for? Thanks, Steven...
My RR has been under a cover for the past 8 years or so and hasn't been on the road. Pulled it out a few weeks ago and got it running. New tires and wheels yesterday and finally drove it about 20 miles today. When i got home, it appears that the seal on the input shaft may be leaking. What...
I need some help with the correct interior colors. The car is a 69 RR Y3 convertible. The dash, A pillars, steering column/wheel, and front kick panels are brown. The seats, doors, door panels, rear side panels have all been painted white. The fender tag has H2H (interior white & tan) and also...
Been looking at new wheels for the car and the ones that I would like to get only come in 3 3/4" back spacing on a 15"x7" for the front. The only other option would be to go with 15"x8" on all corners to get the 4 1/2" bs. The wheels are the Torq-Thrust 605D. Thanks, Steven
I am looking at replacing the wheels on the my car and have decided on the Torq-Thrust II VN605D or the VN515.. Summit's website says the VN605D's in 15"x8" / 5 - 4.5" bolt pattern / 4.5" back spacing will not work on the rear of the car but the VN515 in the same size will. As for the front...
Will be praying for him. I had it in July and it wasn't fun. Ended up in the hospital for 3 days. Luckily no one in my house came down with it. Thanks, Steven
I've been out of the Mopar loop for a while (2012). The Road Runner has been shoved in the corner of my parents shop since April 2012 and it hasn't seen asphalt since then. Dad would go out and start it every now and then until one day it would start. Fast forward to 2020. My wife and I...
I will send you some pictures of my Y-3 convertible in a few days. It will give me a reason to back it out of the garage and clean it up. I can get some updated pics also. Thanks, Steven
I finally have the bird back home after a 2 year hibernation at my parents house. The tires look good but are probably about 10 years old so I want to get some new ones before driving it too far. Currently, it has 225/70R/14 on all corners. I would like to put 235/60R/14's on the rear and...
It's been two years, but I finally got the bird back home last week. We remodled and I finally made room in the garage. It's been in hibernation at my parents house since April 2012. I had to replace the fuel pump to get it running again and now I need to go through the carb. None the less...
