Carpet, Front & Back Seats

The carpet went in without a hitch . Hush mat sound/heat barrier installed first. Carpet is a very nice plush cut pile with mas backing, I highly recommend this product.

Question, obviously you're installing your interior before the car is painted. I have all my interior new and ready to go in but was waiting on paint. Is there any reason to wait or should I go ahead with it? Seems like a good winter project.

Front seats

These C-5 seats are out of a Corvette , they have five way electric function . Seats function great and the wiring was not a problem at all. Front and back seats were reupholstered in black perforated leather ,with green double stitching by a guy that redoes boat seats and canvas tops for a living locally .

If I would have painted the car first and then did all the other stuff, the risk for scratches in my small garage would of been to great , that's the only reason.

interior shots

Here are a few more before and after interior shots of the fire wall .

A touch of leather

The forty five year old dash pad was really showing its age and I figured if I could recover the vinyl top , surly I can do this dash pad . Went on EBay and ordered a full cow hide in jet black . Turned out pretty good if I say so myself . Had so much hide left over I decided to do the rear speaker deck and rear panels above the window cranks. See enclosed pictures. It actually was a lot of fun and it smells so..... good !

that turned out great! are you gonna do the door tops too?

Maybe I should to keep everything looking the same, I painted the top door panels flat black and I could live with the way it looks , we'll see.

Thanks ! It's an amazing amount of work ,not to mention money as I'm sure most of the fellows here know , but its all done in the name of love .

This is the new Ididit tilt steering column with Momo steering wheel , all the functions work including the horn . I'm very pleased with this plug and play column designed just for the 69 roadrunner.

A few misalaneous shots

These are TTI ceramic coted headers , they fit very nicely without any modifications . A high torque mini starter was added as well .

Nice photos! Car is coming along great! Which model of Wilwood's do you have on the front? Do you have discs all on all 4?

We went with the complete package provided by Magnum Force that is designed for their 2" drop spindle , which included the 12.19" pro series drilled/slotted rotor , complete parking brake kit , brake lines , proportioning valve and so forth . Yes , front and rear.
