Bob,

I have been meaning to ask you about your K-member trolley you used for your engine install. Did you make it or get it somewhere?

Well I did an electrical test this morning, I have a short list and a question. No license plate light, probably a ground. No front left park light most likely a ground. No dash or rear backup light for reverse, I'm going to try my old backup switch in the tranny. The front speaker doesn't work. And here is the question, on my light package when the drivers door opens the console lights only come on. When the passenger door opens the map and dome only come on. So they all work but differ in the doors. Does this sound right?

Both door switches should be connected. The left door switch (Yellow M2B) goes to dome light, changes to Yellow M2 goes to the dimmer switch changes to Yellow M2A and goes to right door switch. I'm still looking to see where the map light comes in.

Can't find it on the Belvedere, RR wiring diagram but on all others the map light is tied in right after the right door switch. I'm guessing you have one of 2 problems. You either don't have the left and right switches tied together at the map light or the dome light. Make sure your dimmer switch works for both the dome and map light. That should narrow it down. If I'm reading the diagram correctly.................Hope this helps.......

I'm sure there is suppose to be a wire running from the console to the dome that would tie the entire system together. Can't find console on the diagram though.........

The dome console and drivers door switch all plug together at the left kick panel. They all work I'm wondering if its by design

Bob, the map light I just installed has 3 wires. One is pink, which goes to the fuse box and 2 yellow wires. The yellows go to the door switches.

Yep all the yellows pretty much just plug together but the light dimmer on the dash also turns the dome on and off and I think thats where the magic takes place

But at some point you don't have your yellows tied together or all the lights would come on with either door switch.......

Bob, do you have apicture of the drivers side engine bay where the brackets for the wiring, speedometer cable and brake lines go? I took a picture of mine but I'm not sure the brackets are in correctly. Thanks.
