Hey guys... yeah, something happened with the emails from Hemmings...probably some bonehead move on my part and I didn't get a lot of them. Anyway, the car is on ebay now as well. Can't miss it. It's the blue ragtop...lol
Could be... I do remember it being blue-ish... it would help more if we could see under the hood. I remember two huge turbos and a lot of polished tubing. Everything was chromed and had a lot of braided stainless.. But it might have been a later model Nova...
I'm not a big fan of...
It's not really Pro-Street though is it? I thought that meant a drag car that was barely street legal and built more for show than go. I remember in the late 80's a Nova with two turbos feeding a blower that was really more of a wild design exercise than a viable race car, like most Pro-Street...
I got mine off ebay about 10 years ago. Granted it was a different online world back then, but I flew to Massillon, Ohio in a snowstorm to make sure that car was as described. It was. I highly recommend the Holiday Inn in Massillon on Friday night...lol.
Talk about a car town! I found a...
American Top Gear can never be as good as the BBC Top Gear because it's a show that caters to sponsors and that means they can never be completely truthful about the cars they test. BBC is publicly funded and doesn't have to worry about ad money so they tell it like it is.
The Car Show, seems...
Pretty interesting. I think it has the potential to be the real American Top Gear if they just relax a little. They do some stupid stuff, but as each week goes by, it gets a little better.
The on on the driver's side just had the little handle fall off. I can't see a screw hole... is there supposed to be one? Like maybe one of those tiny little hex screws?
I've been in Miami Beach for about 20 years now and the whole time I've seen ONE plum crazy '70 Road Runner. One.
Not counting car shows... I mean on the street.
As someone who lives in an area that's as crazy expensive as California, I can tell you that you really get what you pay for in a large metropolitan area like LA or Miami. You have lots of shops with plenty of yahoos that have no clue.
Back in 87 I tried two different shops and had "break my...
I admit I am a little out of my league on the "sealed" system, but I remember hearing about a conversion tank that pressurizes the cooling system (hence "sealed") for better cooling like some German cars have. I don't know if that's worth anything or even if that makes sense.
Where do I drill...
Thanks guys! More stuff to try.
Maybe a new/better water pump is needed. The radiator is fine. I am not too concerned about looking 100percent for driving around, but I do need to be able to go back to correct if needed.
What if any are the advantages of going to a sealed system? I've...
I have gotten a shroud, used watter wetter, straight water, watter wetter and water only and 50/50 antifreeze and I ahve come to the conclusion that the original 2-row 22 inch radiator just doeasn't transfer enough heat in the Miami Beach summers. The heat (over 100 on the street) and 85-95%...
