Thanks guys, all is good with me. I have 2 kids now (4 and 7), I moved around two years ago to a bigger house with a bigger garage, and just added a few years to my teaching pension since my last stretch of activity here. My car is holding up. I've decided to keep it, I always wanted this...
The week in review:
1. Put new tires on the back. I was running a set of used 255/60/15 bfg's for around 5 years. Really dumb. They had slight dry rot on the outer side (visible) and I kept ignoring it, knowing that I could loose the car. I've been holding out because I wanted new rims and...
If I'm revisiting a previous post let me know. I saw it mentioned but not discussed at length.
The link is this: http://www.madelectrical.com/electricaltech/amp-gauges.shtml
I've read this page many times, and a lot of commentary on other boards surrounding it as well
as ammeter issues...
Hey guys, dropped off for a few years. Still have my car, regained my enthusiasm for it. Good to be back, will try not to ask too many dumb tech questions. Now going to try to update avatar. I haven't used this "new" page yet, may be an indication of how long I've been out of it.

Watching all these shows on cable TV where guys get these muscle cars and put

down (all of that is speculation of course...
Ray - based upon the previous 4 thousand threads dedicated to this and your contributions to them
I figured that 15x8 with 4-4.5 backspace was essential as you mentioned above. I got a little excited
when it came up that 15x7.5 "would work." I've got 15x7.5 on the front of my car. See avatar...
Blame Basketcase, he made me do it.
I'm looking for a set of slot mags (a pair) at Carlisle. I want to run
275/60's on the back of my car. To do that (according to tirerack.com) I need
at least a 15x8 rim. Basket case is saying I can get away with 15x7.5.
Right now I've got 15x8.5 with 3.5...
Mine's a 4bbl with about a 1 inch spacer. My car has had it's share of headaches but not this one. Two pumps
and it usually fires right away. No choke but you just work around that.
Just checking in here...I'll meet up wherever. Give details on Steve's tent.
As far as the mags go, I think I need a 15x8 in order to fit a set of 275/60's but if
somebody thinks the 15x7.5 works chime in. Probably better for a different thread.
