I have a 69 green roadrunner with about 3/4 of the build sheet. I went to this Backeast company in Colorado to get a fender tag. They told me that the A Plant (lynch road) tags are completely different and they require Gate Sequence, Line Sequence, and Base Sequence to produce the tag and those...
This 69 Roadrunner hardtop is an original except painted once original color. Engine is a 383 newly rebuilt 200 miles ago. Four speed on the floor, all standard equipment. It's hard to find a 4 speed 69 with power steering.
Went through all mechanical and replaced suspension, brakes...
Rarity factor - less than 2500 of the 67 GTXs came with a 4 speed. Extremely straight body. Nice OEM style restoration with upgrades. Power steering and A/C blows cold and heat is warm. The car spent its life in the south. Beautiful vinyl roof. Date coded 440. original, 883 4-speed and 3.55 Dana...
The release spring seems shot on emergency brake pedal, meaning that when released the pedal comes up most of the way but not the last inch, keeping the brake light on after the brake is released. I could adjust the switch but there is play in the pedal that suggest a spring is shot when...
on my 69 Roadrunner I am trying to determine what the factory original finish what have been for the interior floors and for under the seats to the frame of the seats and the springs. Based on knowing that, I will then decide what to do to reproduce it so it at least looks like original. Any...
Replaced hazard flasher part.. flashers now only work when key is on and I must put on turn signal.. then it flashes fine.. a fast flashing. . All lights and blinkers working fine. I assume the hazard light issue is an issue unless the flashers operated differently in 1969. Any thoughts?
I'm sure this has been talked about at length already but here goes.. a friend is a master mechanic and says electronic ignition and higher volted coil conversion is the only way to go on my 69 Roadrunner and my 67 GTX over existing points. I trust the guy implicitly but since this is a mopar...
My 69 Roadrunner 383 stock stick car had engine rebuilt about 100 miles ago, so it's brand new. The car starts well when cold, runs very well (like new), but once it is warmed up if I turn it off to get gas etc, it won't easily start. I tried giving it no gas, mild gas, holding pedal down and...
Attached is a shot of engine area of the 69 Roadrunner I just got. The body is painted nicely, but because it was numbers matching the previous owners left the engine compartment and inside the doors original, as you can see. How tough is it to have this all cleaned and painted with matching...
There is a very reasonably priced 71 GTX 440 w/ sixpack that is a lot of money for me that I want to be careful with. VIN check says only 73 made like that. He says all numbers match but no fender tag. Any advice?
Found a 69 hardtop that does not have matching numbers, with 440 4bbl from rhe 70s, and posi that works, power steering and stick shift. Nothing rare about it but apparently rebuilt engine 1500 miles ago and a dreampuff per the seller. Is paying close to $30k too much if the car shows very well?
My buddy used Reliable Shipping to transport his cars, so I know they are good. I see posts on Uship. Anybody have an opinion about this. It needs to get moved about 1600 miles.
I owned Mopars back in the day but never a muscle car. Just bought all numbers matching 69 RR 383 stick with power steering. It just had first rebuild of the motor; sp motor has 50 miles on it. It is a survivor car that was painted once, factory green and not inside doors to maintain factory...
Hi, Since having a couple Mopars years ago, I loved the cars and wanted to get a driver that is a good investment as well. I am not sure if 68 vs 69 is better, whether I should look for restomod or original with matching numbers. I know the restomod would be easier to maintain, but I want the...
I had a couple Mopars years ago, 318s, but I am now looking to by a 68 or 69 RoadRunner. I want to get a rider and use it as my regular car. I'm looking for something that just needs maintaining but is not a lot of work and I thought the knowledge of this forum would help.
